But here, it’s not just about telling you the story of this incredible place. It’s about showing you how, at Geminy, we captured its essence in a unique way using cutting-edge technology: the FPV drone.
To showcase TAG E-Karting, we didn’t want to settle for a conventional video. We chose to push the limits with a two-minute long take, filmed entirely with an FPV (First Person View) drone. Unlike traditional drones, this type offers immersive and dynamic shots, as if you were literally onboard one of the E-Karts electric karts that offer ecological benefits and a quiet, yet equally fast and smooth drive. Thanks to the FPV drone’s extreme maneuverability and ability to navigate tight spaces at high speed, we captured angles and perspectives otherwise impossible to achieve.
One of the strengths of the FPV drone lies in its ability to navigate in harmony with the E-Karts, soaring over the tracks and diving into rarely explored perspectives. We filmed the entire facility in a single take—from the super track to recreational areas like the laser tag and bowling alley. All of this was captured in a fluid, uninterrupted movement that conveys the raw energy of the center.
To achieve such a sequence, coordination was key. We engaged 18 extras, each with a specific role, interacting not only with each other but also with the drone.
Every gesture and movement was synchronized to create an immersive choreography where the drone weaved through the action scenes. After 14 attempts to get the perfect shot, we finally captured the ideal sequence. This precise synchronization between the ground team and the drone pilot enabled us to capture the center’s energy and vibrancy without missing a beat.
This type of shoot doesn’t happen spontaneously. It requires millimeter precision, flawless coordination, and absolute mastery of the equipment. Every turn and acceleration was meticulously planned so the drone could match the E-Karts’ speed while capturing every detail. And when it comes to FPV drones, only highly experienced pilots can take on such a challenge. This project was not only a challenge but also a first in Quebec’s advertising world.
